NHL DFS for March 7: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy hockey picks

6 0

Before you enter a daily fantasy hockey tournament for NHL action Wednesday, March 7, you need to hear what professional DFS player Mike McClure has to say. McClure has more than $1 million in career DFS winnings and is rolling through the season, already cashing multiple tournament and cash game rosters.

He has been able to do all that thanks to some spot-on picks.

On Tuesday, McClure locked in Lightning center Brayden Point at $6,200 on DraftKings. The result: Point fired three shots on net and scored a goal, returning five points on DraftKings — one of his better recent performances.

Anybody who had Point in their lineup was well on their way to a winning NHL DFS night.

Now, McClure has exhaustively studied matchups, injuries and projected lineups for Wednesday and locked in his optimal NHL DFS lineups. He sharing them only over at SportsLine.

For Wednesday, McClure is all over Flames defenseman Dougie Hamilton, who is $5,600 on FanDuel and $5,700 on DraftKings.

Hamilton has been held without a point in his last five games, but he’s been peppering the net recently, putting at least five shots on goal in three of his last four contests.

He recorded seven points in the three games prior to this dry spell, and he has a great chance to return to that type of productivity tonight against a Buffalo defense that ranks 26th in the NHL in scoring defense.

If you roster Hamlton at his affordable price, you’ll have plenty of room to add a star like Flyers center Sean Couturier, who is $7,000 on FanDuel and $6,800 on DraftKings.

Couturier is one of the top young centers in the league and he’s piled up 29 goals and 34 assists for Philadelphia this year. There’s a good chance he records No. 30 tonight against a Pittsburgh defense that gives up over three goals per contest. He’s one of the top overall plays on tonight’s three-game slate.

McClure is also targeting a wing who has been exploding over the past few weeks. Based on his recent production and dream matchup, he’s in position to go off for 20 or even 30 points on FanDuel and double-digits on DraftKings. Picks like these could be the difference between winning your cash game and tournaments or going home with nothing.

So who is DFS pro Mike McClure putting in his optimal NHL DFS lineup for Wednesday and which value picks will allow you enough salary cap room to load your roster up with stars?
